Aiji had always been fond of school, learning all that he could about magic and the wizarding world whilst his parents generally kept him grounded with more of a "mortal" lifestyle at home with the use of very little magic. They believed it was best for him to get a taste of both worlds as he was born from muggles and should keep ties to such a place, even if most wizards wouldn't agree.
However, he knew things had officially gotten bad when he woke up one evening to Henry shoving a shirt over his head telling him to stay quiet and follow him. Still disoriented, he was dragged deep into the forest with very little in his bag.
"Stay here," Henry had told him, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Gran will come and get you, okay?"
When the Carringtons spoke of "Gran," they in no way mean Henry's mother. The woman was most likely giving the Death Eaters all the information they needed to hunt poor little Aiji down. No, they meant Theodore's mother, a kind witch who adored her grandson. However, before Penny could reach him, they caught up with him first.
He was sitting at the foot of a tree when he heard a ruckus not far from him. His heart had seized him and he grasped his wand, ready to defend himself as best he can, though he knew, against Death Eaters, he had little chance of winning.
At that moment, he decided it would be best to run now and take his chances at never having to tango with them. So, he gathered up his things and took off in the opposite direction through the thick darkness of the forest. He hoped they wouldn't hear the crunch of twigs and brush beneath his anxious feet, but he hadn't been that lucky. They had surrounded him immediately, making him halt within a ring of trees where hooded beings stood.
He then realized that this could be the last time he ever take a living breath. This could be the last time he sees through these eyes and feels the beat of his heart. More importantly, he would never see his family again...he would never see Decaria again. If death came after a life lived alone, then it could be bearable...but not this. He had so much to look forward to just to end it now!
As if everyone was trying to read each other's movements, wands rose in the blink of an eye simultaneously and spells were fired through the air, hexes, jinxes, and curses painting the area to land its mark, which had fallen to the ground, scrambling amongst the dirt. Quick with his wand, Aiji had managed to knock back one of them, but was nearly hit with green light in the process. His heart could have stopped right at that moment!
And so, it was three against one and they weren't trying to snatch and torture, no, little Aiji was insignificant. They would simply kill him instead. One less filthy little mudblood to deal with.
"No!" he looked up to see a wand pointed right at him when he turned around and the fear finally gripped him, causing him to throw his hands up in his last line of defense.
He was going to die.
"Immobulus!"
The Death Eater remained in the same stance with his wand raised, but he seemed as if he couldn't budge. The blond blinked, not remembering ever shouting out the charm in the first place.
"Mobiliarbus!" And rooted right from the very ground was one of the very intimidatingly large trees in which hovered over the Death Eater's head before crashing right upon his head, re-rooted as his very grave stone.
Honey brown eyes grew large as he sat so stunned that he hadn't first realized he was being dragged away until he heard someone tell him to get up and run. His gaze turned up to see gray eyes glance down at him beneath a fall of dark auburn hair in which framed a handsome and kind face.
"Come on, hurry up!" He told Aiji once again, pulling him along with spells fired at their backs, whizzing past them into the darkness up ahead, partially lighting their path.
They ducked and weaved before disappearing behind a large bolder and into a large hallow in which Aiji had fell into, his bag skittering along the dirt. The other male, seemingly around his age, had put a finger to his lips in indication to stay quiet as the footsteps approached, having gained up on them.
Aiji didn't fuss. He stayed completely silent, hoping and praying they wouldn't be found.

Hazel eyes had stared forward, somewhere, he was checking the time, a watch from within his cloak. His expression was devoid of emotion and feeling, an almost disturbing contrast to the man that Aiji had known. The Curse Breaker was clothed in black, tall leather boots stretching to his knees, absolutely wrapped in leather and adorned with a graven image of a hunter. The mark of the dark lord lay obliviously on his forearm, thick and black, the skull loomed. Months before he had been working in egypt, writing letters to his beloved as the world around them became increasingly dangerous. Threats, demons, loomed in the darkness, waiting to force their way into the world that formerly had no place for evil.
He snapped the silver watch shut, an even more dreaded expression coming to his face as he had watched the Death Eaters from him shift from their positions. They were not hunters. They merely joined this particular hunt for the fun of hunting two purebloods and their mudblood adopted child. It was like any other day in this growing hell.
There was no other way to protect his beloved, even if it meant he was the one that was threatening his very life with his own hands. He had briefly reached up, frowning deeply as he had taken a small metal locket into his hands, grasping it tightly within his hand and closing his eyes quietly. It was the copy of his lover's necklace, the one that he had given him before they had separated when he had graduated...When he opened his eyes, he had let go slowly. Aiji Carrington...I will find you, you cannot escape from me. He had heard the sounds of shouting and laughter and crazed spells and hexes and the chaos that would ensue from a duel, and he had stayed on the side, not even allowing his Death Eaters to see him. His eyes had fallen on the blond he had cherished, fighting for his life.
He pulled his wand into his hand...Nobody could see the movement of his lips. It was very subtle, and yet, the curses he cast made all the difference. Some were forced to trip or take an extra step or move their hand to far and they would avoid hitting Aiji by a hair.
"Conjunctivitis."
"Flipendo."
He was forced to hold his breath in the last moment, moving out from behind the trees just as he had watched one of his men pointing his wand directly at Aiji--the killing curse, barely on his lips as he had prepared to slaughter him-- and Decaria pointed his wand at him, eyes wide with furious intent. His wand moved at the last moment towards the man, "Immobulus." His voice was lost against another's, a younger male who had suddenly thrown himself into the clearing, knocking every death eater aside as the man had done everything he could to save Aiji, succeeding. Decaria watched as they disappeared.
Soon after, the Death Eaters were arguing where Aiji had went, passing right by the rock. "They went this way!" "No, they didn't, I saw them disappear right here!" "There is no where for them to hide you moron--"
Decaria snapped, "You fools, he was in your hands! How could you let a filthy little mudblood child get the better of you? He is a student!" The Death Eater's had grown silent in fear. "You will pay for your insolence. You have ruined my hunt." Silence. "Well?" He snarled, before growling further, "You will return to the lord. You will tell him how you have failed and let the Carringtons escape. I will see to it that you will never get another hunt." His voice was solemn, before one had finally asked, "--But--He's here--!" "CRUCIO!" The curse came out of Decaria's lips, and the man was writhing in the ground screaming in excruciating pain, before he suddenly simply laid there. No one had dared to utter another word. "You will listen." Leclair had hissed, before stating loudly for the rest to hear, "Aiji is mine!!"
He cocked his head to the side, glaring heavily and solemnly as the others had helped the fallen man to his feet again, holding him up to stabilize him. "They went this way." He finally said, before heading in the complete opposite direction of where Theodore and Henry had gone.
The forest was quiet again, and not a thing stirred.
Until there was a cry of a falcon, and the sudden sound of wings. It had stood atop the boulder, looming down at the boys, before it let out another screech. It was the same falcon Decaria had sent his letters to Aiji with.

"Cave Inimicum," the other male had muttered the protective charm around the mouth of the gave before turning towards the blond who sat finally taking a breath after the footsteps had faded.
"You alright? They didn't get you, did they?"
Aiji shook his head. "I'm okay."
The other male had looked at the blond a moment and blinked. "Wait...you're a guy?"
The blond stared at the other male a moment and blushed slightly, embarrassed, brows furrowing. "Why, yes I am! Why wouldn't I be?" Aiji stood, brushing off his clothes.
The male chuckled, tucking his wand away. "When I saw you back there, I was thinking, 'A damsel in distress!' and took the risk of being the hero!"
Aiji shook his head, turning away from the other male as his face went red, highly embarrassed. He took a moment to gather his things whilst he mumbled a "Thank you."
"I didn't think I would make it out of there alive...I was suppose to be waiting for..." He gasped, "Gran!"
"Gran?"
"She was going to come and get me! What is going on?" Now that he thought about it, he wasn't informed on what was happening.
An auburn brow rose. "You mean to say you don't know?"
Aiji blinked and then shook his head.
"The Death Eaters are taking over...They've already got the school. All the muggleborns are either on the run...or dead."
Brown eyes widened and Aiji's heart fell. "What?"
The other male nodded slowly, seemingly sorry for having broken the news to him. He sighed, "Look, don't worry, alright? I'm a muggleborn, too. The name's Leo. Leo Burningham. Seventh year. Gryffindor." He held out his hand to the smaller male, whom took it hesitantly, giving it a shake.
"Aiji Carrington. Seventh year as well. Hufflepuff."
Leo smirked. "You look like a Huffie. I should have guessed."
The blond's brows furrowed once again. "And was is that suppose to mean? We don't all look the same, you know!" He blushed furiously, pushing back blond hair that crept between the blades of his back, having grown over the years. "How would you feel if I said you look like a Gryffindor? Wouldn't you find that so stereotypical?"
Leo held up his hands. "Whoa, hang on. I'm sorry, alright? I didn't mean to offend you or anything. Just saying...Huffies tend to be...well...pretty, you know?"
Aiji felt his cheeks grow even warmer and he looked at Leo a moment, wondering if he was joking before he chose to speak. "Well...thank you, I suppose..."
"You suppose?" Leo laughed.
"U-Uh, no! I mean, thank you! Of course I mean thank you!" The little blond became flustered, not wanting to seem like he didn't mean to be appreciative. Leo merely laughed.
"Don't worry, Aiji. I know you meant it." Leo then sighed, sitting on the ground within the mouth of the cave with the blond eying him a moment before doing the same, clutching his bag.
"I wonder if Gran will find me here," Aiji later commented, becoming worried with every moment that passed. "What if she ran into Death Eaters? Or worse...!" He blanched. The thought of his sweet grandmother getting into a fight with Death Eaters was frightening...for both parties! Gran was no push over, but she was still very old and very dear to him. He couldn't bare the thought of her getting hurt!
"Well-"
Both boys went silent as they heard the sound of a falcon's cry. Aiji's eyes widened slightly as he scrambled from the ground and hurried towards the mouth of the cave. Leo followed after him, alerted.
"Where are you going?"
"Didn't you hear that?"
"Didn't you hear those Death Eaters not too long ago?"
"But I know that sound!"
Leo looked completely baffled. "Are you crazy? People are out there trying to kill us! You should stay hidden!"
Leo grabbed the blond's hand and Aiji stopped at the mouth of the cave, turning his head to look at Leo with a blazing determination.
"I know that sound. I know it better than you, even..."
The Gryffindor looked at Aiji a moment before letting go of his hand to let the male run out into the open to spot the falcon sitting atop of the boulder that kept their hide-away hidden.
"Horus!" He held his arms out for the large bird and Leo raised an eyebrow at the crazy blond, looking a around a moment to make sure they were safe.
"Is that yours?" he asked and Aiji shook his head, beaming brightly at the sight of the large fowl.
"No! Horus belongs to Decaria! If Horus is here, then Decaria is near! He knows where I am! He can come and find me and we can go and find Gran and Henry and Theodore!" Aiji's heart was racing, compltelely excited by the idea that Decaria was near him! That everything could possibly be okay!
Leo nodded. "Sure, well, that's good then? We're saved, right?"
"Yes," Aiji smiled. "We are."

At once Aiji had appeared, the falcon had grown silent and it had hobbled over the large boulder, walking on it's large talons and slipping a little on the rock until it lifted it's large wings and landed on Aiji's wrist arm. Even then, Horus had crawled up Aiji's arm and remained by his ear, silent, moving it's head before it nipped Aiji's ear, and made a small noise to follow him.
Decaria had looked back, a forced look of frustration on it that had briefly softened to a gentle expression. As he looked back in Aiji's direction, he longed to be the one beside him and the one to run away with him. He desired to see Aiji, to hold him again in his arms--It had, inevitably, felt like far too long. They were always waiting for each other, because Aiji was in school, and Decaria was in Egypt. This was suppose to be their last year apart...When Decaria would finally propose to Aiji, and they would no longer have to wait for one another. Yet the end of the world was bringing them further a part, and the only way Decaria could ever save Aiji was to sacrifice his name and his body to the Dark Lord.
"What're you looking at?" A female death eater had asked quietly, and Decaria looked down upon her with a slight frown on his face. "Nothing. I'm trying to find a trace of him. It seems we've lost them." He muttered, before turning away and speaking louder, "They must have apparated. I can find no more evidence that they are here. Tomorrow, we will return to the Kellers. We'll find out where they are heading." His eyes hardened before there was a crackling sound as he held his wand and apparated. The other snatchers followed.
The falcon had refused to let the Gryffindor near him, remaining only a few feet in front of Aiji as it glided occasionally from individual branches. He had continued to bite Aiji until the boy had began to follow him, leading them into thicker and denser forest, noises beginning to pick up from the animals around them. Occasionally, yellow eyes would peak from the blackness of the bushes. If The Gryffindor made a move to get close to Aiji, the falcon would make a 'u' turn and violently snap at him with his talons, barely missing his face.
It had seemed like hours before a cottage had finally appeared among the mangled trees and branches. It was small, made out of dark wood, looking old and abandoned from the outside. Horus had finally stopped, landing on the ridge of the door frame. It made a small noise, strangely sounding loving, a quiet squeek. It wanted the two to enter here.
On the inside, the cottage was everything but broken and ugly and abandoned. Everything seemed pleasantly clean, with light furnishing. The dining room, the living room and the kitchen was combined into one room, with a small, two-person table and a comfortable and welcoming couch. There was only two rooms. One meant for Aiji.
In that room, there was a comfortable and welcoming bed. Across from the bed, was a long dresser, filled with clothes of all different types and sizes for all occasions. The most important things in this room, lay upon that dresser. There was a briefcase there, that when opened, it would reveal an array of potions that were created by the Alchemist Jean-Joel Leclair himself. All were labeled clearly. Many were polyjuice, others were aging potions, blood replenishing potions, Exploding Fluid, and one very small bottle of felix felicies.
As soon as Aiji would come nearer to the vase, all of the dead flowers were to come to life as vibrant and beautiful pink and red roses. A letter was beside it, written in the most familiar hand writing to Aiji.
Dear Aiji,
From here on out, you must be careful. I'm sorry I cannot be with you there in person, but know that I am watching over you. I am distracting the Death Eaters as we speak. You must not leave this cottage until the sun rises.
There is too much for me to say so quickly, I could only do so much right now before I am to leave.
You need to know this, and you need to believe in me. I would never do this if I had any other option, but ...I have to. Trust me that this is the only way I can save you and your family.
Please do not think that anything has changed, or think of me differently. We are still the same, and I do, more than anyone, love you and only you.
My mother was a Death Eater. Her specialty was memory jinxes.
My mother and I have hidden ourselves. She and my father have hidden themselves as Death Eaters, and so have I.
My parents are protecting yours, and I, am pretending to be a snatcher.
If anyone comes for you, I will know, and I will stop them.
You must leave Britain.
Muggle transportation is incredibly unsafe right now, but there is no other way. You must move only at night. The fireplace will be activated as a registered flume tomorrow, from this place to a bay at the mouth of London. The ferry will leave at 6:30 to Belgium. You must leave the hotel and use a polyjuice potion. All of them belong to the images of my family.
Use the one marked '1' on it, it belongs to my cousin Amedee Leclair. Once in Paris. In your bag I have placed several similar fake passports. Use them well and do not give yourself away.
I have prepared a safe house in Romania. I will travel with you there once you make it to the border. I will know when you get there.
Don't be afraid, everything is going to be alright. I promise.
With my whole heart, love, Decaria.
In reality, nothing was right. Aiji's grandmother had been captured.

Aiji was more than happy to see the fowl like that of the dove in the time of Moses’ days. Horus was his sign of hope. He accepted the large bird, alerted by the nip at his ear and the urgency in its squawk before it took flight. Honey brown eyes followed the wings of the bird before his feet began to move along the ground.
“Leo! Please grab my bag, hurry!” he called out to the Gryffindor over his shoulder.
Leo’s eyes widened and he looked at the running blond, bemused. “Hold on a second! Where do you think you’re going? Its not safe to…Gah! Bloody hell!” he tossed up his hands, knowing it was no use in trying to talk the other out of it now that he was already on the move. He turned and scooped up the boy’s bag before running after him into the dense darkness of the forest, weaving through a myriad of trees.
“Aiji, wait a moment, will you?” he said, reaching out to the small blond, which only lead him to be attacked by the large bird who came swooping down from above to nearly take off his very face! He had to duck low to avoid a future plastic surgery! “What’s with that bloody bird!”
Aiji had turned to him with a finger to his lips. “Shh! You don’t want the Death Eaters to hear us, do you?”
“Hear us? They’ll see us out here for sure! We should have stayed back in the cave! Where the hell are we going? For all we know, we could be heading into a trap!”
“No!” Aiji said firmly, continuing onward without fail. “Decaria would never do that! I trust him!”
Leo didn’t agree and merely shook his head. “I don’t know this Decaria, so I’m sorry to say that I don’t trust him one bit!” However, he couldn’t excuse the fact that this Decaria fellow could be their only lead to safety, but he didn’t quite trust it all.
“Then, trust me,” Aiji stopped a moment, turned to the Gryffindor who had stopped to stare into his eyes a moment. The little Hufflepuff seemed sincere and generally harmless. Besides, he was a fellow muggleborn and all muggleborns had to stick together at this point.
“Okay…” he nodded and they continued on after the bird through the thick shadows. For a moment it seemed as if Horus had disappeared up ahead within the leaves and branches. Aiji hadn’t been watching his steps, eyes glued to the dark canopy up above, and he had tripped over a particularly large and sneaky tree root. Immediately, he had plummeted to the ground into the dirt with a sharp cry and Leo rushed to his side.
“Hey! Are you okay?” he asked, gazing down upon the boy who was holding his ankle.
“I think I’ve broken it-!” Aiji said with a trembling tone and Leo chanced a touch to that throbbing ankle and Aiji whimpered, tears already in his eyes. Leo sighed and looked around, the shadows looking menacing and suspicious. There was no time for an intervention since mending broken bone took time.
“Great,” he grumbled and simply scooped the small figure up into his arms and continued running, spotting the bird who had looped around for them. Aiji tried to keep his mind off of the pain, which was like fire in his very bones, and he looked up at Leo’s determined face.
“Thank you,” he told him and Leo shook his head.
“Don’t mention it. Can’t go back now and we can’t sit around with your ankle broken. We’ve got to get you somewhere safe.”
Aiji nodded and sighed silently, feeling like a burden. He wish he could run on his own instead of having Leo carry him. What if the Death Eaters caught up with them? He would be of less help than usual! It was even worse that it seemed like a very long way before Leo had slowed down, huffing heavily as he stood before an old little cottage amongst gnarled trees and branches. It looked abandoned and inhabitable, but it was where Horus had landed. Their mark. Their salvation.
“We ran through half the forest for this?” Leo asked.
“Beats a dirty cave, doesn’t it?” Aiji said, letting go of Leo a bit now that he was merely walking. “Let’s hurry and get inside. My ankle is really starting to hurt more…” He hated to rush the other male, but he simply couldn’t stand the pain much longer.
Pushing the door open, they came to find that the inside was nothing like the dilapidated outside and was quite inhabitable indeed! A comfortable living space, really! The door closed shut behind them and they stood there a moment, in awe, before Leo hurried over towards the couch where he laid Aiji down. Carefully, he pulled his shoes off and elevated his bruised and swollen foot and shook his head.
“It looks really bad…” Simply, he gave a flick of his wand and Aiji’s brows contorted as his ankle was inflamed with more burning pain than before with bones mending together beneath the bruised flesh. He tried his best not to cry out, but it didn’t stop the tears from lining his eyes heavily, falling down his cheeks without care.
Leo smiled warily and knelt down besides the small blond. “Here, take my hand and squeeze it tight, okay?”
Aiji nodded and did what was suggested, taking Leo’s hand to squeeze as tight as possible as he tried to tough out the pain. A moment past and he finally let go of the breath he seemed to be holding, panting softly as he looked down at his ankle, swelling now gone, bruise fading, bones completely mended.
“Feel better?” Leo asked, reaching up to wipe away the other’s tears and Aiji nodded, sighing heavily before he offered the Gryffindor a smile.
“Thank you! You’ve helped me out so much already!”
Leo chuckled and shook his head, “Well, we muggleborns have to look out for each other, right?”
Aiji nodded. “Right!”
His gaze turned to the rest of the cottage and he stood carefully, testing his healed ankle before he began to take a look around. “There’s a kitchen here,” he noted, “and bedrooms! With beds!” he exclaimed, far too excited about that discovery, running into one of the rooms to jump into the bed, cuddling within the pillows.
“Oh, how I’ve missed thee bed~” he mused.
Leo hand followed him, eyebrows raised as he gave a whistle. “I have to admit. This Decaria fellow is pretty generous! Not many of us find such hospitable places to hide out!”
Aiji sat up and smiled, “I told you that you could trust me, because I trust Decaria and I know he never fails!” Head tilted. “What’s this…?” he asked himself, getting up from the bed to cross the room to the dresser where their lay a briefcase. He opened it, feeling as if it was left for him, and saw all that lay inside; many different potions like a liquid arsenal.
“Whoa…” Leo commented. “Stocked up pretty nice.”
Brown eyes turned to where a vase sat next to it, a letter. As he drew nearer to the vase, the flowers suddenly came to life in full bloom of red and pink roses, which caused the blond’s own cheeks to match the color as his heart fluttered at the sight. Decaria was always such a brilliant romantic, doing such things even in a state of emergency!
He picked up the letter and smiled as he gazed down upon the script of his beloved. Slowly, he read all that was written, and then he reread it to make sure that he was clear. He must leave Britain. He would be fleeing to Romania! To read that made things seem even more urgent! He couldn’t even remain home because danger was everywhere! He even had to pose as someone he wasn’t, a Leclair, Decaira’s cousin.
“Oh my…” he said softly.
“What is it?” Leo’s brow rose.
“This is all so frightening….” He put a hand over his heart and breathed slowly, now feeling the full effects of the situation now that he was no longer running for his life at the very moment.
“Look,” Leo began, “We should get ourselves washed up, fed, and rested so that we can figure out our next move. As nice as this place is, we can’t stay here for long. No doubt we’d be found.”
Aiji nodded. He knew his next move…He knew them all.

Decaria had a horrible taste stuck in his mouth as he had thought back to the battle earlier, remembering that refugee who has saved Aiji. No other Death Eaters seemed to be able to recognize him, and he remained anonymous. He swore to himself, the little brat had better keep his damn hands to himself, for the boy he had saved had been his! If he were to place on finger on his beloved...Someone was going to lose their entire arm.
He had hoped that Aiji would have made it to the safe house with the boy, even if it meant the mystery child would spend the night with Aiji. It would be best...After all, Aiji would have been otherwise afraid, even though Decaria did everything he could to make it warm and hospitable so as to not make Aiji feel frightened or alone. He was not there to embrace him in front of the fireplace. He was not there to kiss his beautiful face, to see the tears that may fall and gentle kiss those as well. Decaria wanted nothing more but to be there right by his side and to fight for him in the open, yet, it caused him unimaginable pain because he knew he could not. Not until Aiji had made it to Romania...Until then, as Aiji's lover, he would protect the family that he hoped would soon become his own.
Decaria was suddenly descending down a long and narrow wooden staircase in the damp confines of a dungeon in an unnamed pure blood manor. There was only one particular blood traitor within this cell block, kept alone, from the others, in case her fiery spirit would give hope to the other prisoners of the war. Decaria's voice had risen, echoing off the walls, "I want all of you out. This is an interrogation..." He hissed, slamming a plate full of food on the table downstairs, and turning to face the prisoner as the other Death Eaters had risen, and began to climb the staircase, relieved they would no longer have to spend their time in this dirty, unluxurious cell. Decaria had waited, until he heard the door above shut, before he removed his wand and expelled any eyes that may have been watching with a few quick movements of his wand--the curses, easily dispelled by the acclaimed curse breaker. His eyes remained on the woman behind the bars, before he had slowly began to remove the metal locket around his neck, opening it as he had began to walk steadily towards the woman.
"I am Decaria Leclair." He had announced, placing his locket on the plate of food he had brought, and filling the goblet generously with fresh water as he opened the door. "You can look inside the locket to make sure..." He had whispered quiet, the image inside of it being one of Aiji and Decaria laughing as their photograph was taken in his very own seventh year at Hogwarts. He whispered very quietly, nearly ashamed. "I am sorry I could not be here sooner. I hope you have heard of me. The pastries are filled with potion for your injuries."

Since there was no known shower, the two boys took turns washing with a bucket filled with water in their own rooms. Aiji was quite happy to get all of the forest’s muck off of him until he was clean and soft again. Whilst Leo was washing himself, Aiji took the liberty of starting dinner. He found fresh vegetables and assorted meats in the icebox and decided to make a stir-fry. His hair was pulled back in a ponytail and he had taken out his contact lenses for the night and was now donning his glasses.
He was setting the table when Leo shuffled in, scratching his head with a raised eyebrow. “You cook?”
Aiji laughed. “Of course I cook! I live in a house of cooks! My dad owns a café and Mama Hen used to be one of his cooks, amongst other things…” He smiled as he presented the neatly placed arrangement. “Viola!”
Leo grinned and took a seat before his plate with Aiji joining him. “I see you wear glasses as well?”
“Have been since second year,” he told the Gryffindor and Leo nodded.
“So, you’re polite, you cook, and you’re cute. No doubt you’re popular. I’ve got to say you’re very much a Hufflepuff through and through.” He took his first bite of the meal and shook his head again, “And you’re cooking is amazing! What a catch you are,” Leo winked and Aiji blushed a little from all the compliments.
“That’s nothing special,” he said, waving the matter aside bashfully, but he couldn’t help but wonder if all of those things had appealed to Decaria. Sadly, he realized he had never cooked a meal for Decaria. He promised himself to cook the best meal Decaria has ever tasted!
“…Aiji? You still with me?”
The blond blinked and looked up from his plate into Leo’s eyes, having just realized he had been spacing out. “Oh, sorry.”
“Worried?”
He blinked. “Oh…” he nodded, thinking about it. “I am, actually. I haven’t heard from Gran, or dad and Mama Hen…All of this happened so quickly that I haven’t gotten the chance to fully realize all that is happening. We are all in so much danger! I hope everyone is alright! I couldn’t bare the thought of losing someone!” He reached up to quickly wipe his tears away, not wanting to be constantly crying in from of Leo. He’s already embarrassed himself enough!
Leo sighed and gave a lopsided grin. “Don’t worry, Aiji. We’ll all come out of this okay. The Dark Lord and his followers will be stopped by the Order. We’ve got the Chosen One. We’ve got Harry Potter.” He nodded, “Plus, we’ve got all of our friends and family who will stand and fight! He won’t win!”
Aiji looked at him, wiping his eyes dry with a wobbly smile and he nodded. “Right! He won’t win! We will!”
“Just remember that and everything will be fine.”
After dinner, they decided they would take their exhausted selves to bed. However, under certain precautions, Leo suggested they sleep in the same room.
“If the Death Eaters broke in, we’d need to be in immediate reach of one another for a better fighting chance. We can’t leave ourselves alone and unguarded.” He made a point, so Aiji agreed, not liking the idea of being attacked in his sleep.
So, Aiji was curled up on one side of the bed and Leo sprawled out on the other. Beyond a “Good night” no words were exchanged. They both were far too tired to stay awake any longer and fell right to sleep.
---------------------
“The nerve of the young people these days! Tying up an poor defenseless old woman when she takes a walk through the forest! What have I ever done to you? Haven’t you learned to respect your elders?”
Gran was sitting within a cell, ranting away about her ailments and frustrations. One of the Death Eaters who had met one of her jinxes during the earlier capture had been glaring at her this whole time and she made a point to glare back, her wrinkled features shaped into an adamant frown. None of them would realize she was a usually bright, chipper, warm and caring old woman. Instead, they were faced with a very angry Carrington woman. Generally, Carringtons are hard to anger, but when angered, you’ve made a formidable enemy. They were wise to take her wand and restrain her. She’d never resort to an unforgivable curse, but with the collection of legal curses, she could do much worse!
“I hope the lot of you have a bathroom! I’m old, you know! I can hardly hold my bowels these days. If I’ve got to go, I’ve got to go and I’ll be damned if I go on myself! I’ll have you washing my laundry, I will!”
One of the Death Eaters ordered her to shut up and she promptly told him to get wise and take his own advice. “I’m bruised, cold, hungry, and highly uncomfortable! I believe I have the right to say whatever I damn will please! You try being in my position!”
The Death Eater had rolled his eyes, now too through with this woman and was even more glad when Decaria Leclair had arrived and ordered them to leave. He had smirked at the woman, thinking she’d met her true match with this kid. Decaria was ruthless. Kill his own mate if he had to, as far as he’d heard.
Penny looked up from where she sat. She was glaring at him as he approached, but it was his name that had struck a cord within her mind. She had heard that name. In fact, she was well familiar of that name, especially in one more beloved little voice! Aiji, yes, Aiji would always say that name and adoringly so! Penny had began to size up with Death Eater curiously. As suggested, she then looked inside the locket he had presented to her and saw inside that of the precious face of her grandson laughing merrily with the Death Eater whom stood before her. An eyebrow rose and she leaned back, arms crossed.
“Well, child, it definitely did take you a while to get to me. If you’re here, I trust Aiji is safe then?” Gran was sharp. Sharp as a tack.
---------------------
The sky was blue, completely blue and clear. He could feel the grass tickling his arms and legs with the gentlest breeze. His gaze turned to his side where Decaria lay, looking at him with the most serene of expressions. Everything was so peaceful without worry or fear. The elder male gathered him up into a warm embrace and Aiji completely entangled himself with the other, hugging him tight. He missed Decaria so much. It felt like ages since they were last together face to face.
“Decaria…I love you…” he murmured and sighed softly.
“Aiji…” oddly enough, this voice did not belong to Decaria. “Aiji…”
“Hm?” brows twisted and he slowly opened his eyes to see Leo staring at him, both brows risen. The Gryffindor male was unusually close and it took a moment before Aiji realized that he was hugging him like a python! His face burned red and he scrambled back, letting Leo go.
“I’m so sorry!! I didn’t mean to! Honest! Please, don’t be offended!! It was an accident!”
Leo chuckled and sat up. “Look, don’t worry about it, okay? Its fine. No harm, no foul. It was an accident, just like you said.” He chuckled. “Besides, seemed like you were having a pretty nice dream. Didn’t know Decaria meant so much to you. You guys…together?” Brow rose.
Aiji chewed on his lower lip nervously, still feeling embarrassed for his actions. He didn’t know he dreamed so strongly! “Oh, yes! Decaria and I have been together for three years! We love each other very much!” He beamed, so very happy to be able to say that.
“Oh~” Leo nodded slowly as if processing the information. “So, you’re polite, you cook, you’re cute, and you’re taken. It figures…” He grinned. “It’s a shame. I was thinking I had a chance with a really nice catch. Turns out I’m beat out by a guy who delivers you your own comfy little hide out!” He laughed. “It’ll be tough to beat that!”
Aiji blinked and turned red. “I’m sorry. I should have said something earlier…”
Leo smirked and caught Aiji’s chin between his thumb and forefinger. “It wouldn’t have made that much of a difference…I still want you. It just means I’ll have to try harder. Since he’s not here to physically take care of you, I’ll do it. You’ll be safe with me.” As he spoke, he began leaning in close and closer to the blond’s slightly parted pink lips, ready to show him just how far he’d go to prove his determination, however, before he could reach his mark, Aiji wailed and through his arms forward with all of his might, pushing Leo clear off of the bed and onto the floor with a dull thud.
“Ah-!” Aiji blinked and peered over the edge of the bed at the groaning Gyrffindor. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to. Its just…Y-You can’t do that, okay? Only Decaria can do that!”
“Decaria isn’t here,” Leo groaned, rubbing his head as he sat up. “What Decaria doesn’t know won’t hurt him. Besides, what’s he doing that’s so important that he can’t be here with you, huh? He’s got to try and protect you from where ever he’s hiding.”
Aiji’s brows furrowed. “He’s not hiding! I’m sure he’s very busy and he’s doing his best to make sure I’m safe! You have no idea how amazing that is! He’s still taking time out of his life during such troubling times, risking his own blood status to help me!”
“Pureblood, huh?” Brow rose.
“Exactly. What Decaria is doing is amazing and noble and one of the many reasons I am so lucky that he loves me and I have the honor of loving him.”
Leo rolled his eyes. “Bloody hell, you sound like an obsessed slave! What is he, a cult leader?”
Aiji’s face turned red with anger, tears prickling his eyes from the exertion. “He’s not! He’s an amazing person who has done far much for me than you could ever imagine! And I’m not a slave! I simply love him with all of my heart!”
Silence fell over them save for Leo’s sigh and Aiji’s sniffling. The Gryffindor ran fingers through his auburn hair before he stood and pulled the little blond into a hug. “I’m sorry, Aiji. I crossed the line. Perhaps I let my newly found jealousy get in the way…You’re quite devoted…”
Aiji blinked and settled his tears, simply waiting until the other had pulled away from him. Fingers of the other male had brushed away the blond’s tears before stepping back. “Still…I think you’re adorable…beautiful, even. I would lie if I said I wasn’t attracted to you. Very attracted to you.”
Aiji’s cheeks were red once again and he looked away. “Don’t say those things, okay? You shouldn’t…do that…I love Decaria very much and nothing will change that.”
With that, the subject was closed and they went back to resuming their sleep with their backs to each other. However, in the morning, Aiji had woke to hugging Leo once again, dreaming of Decaria. Instead of having said anything, Leo had simply held the little blond as they slept and despite who ever fault this turned out to be, Aiji had shoved the Gryffindor boy out of the bed once again with a non-consensual yelp. One would wonder if wizards took Aspirin.

Decaria was very methodical in the way he walked and moved, a grace that was not lost despite the dark bruises under his eyes. The Dungeon was cold with no windows and nothing covering the walls but the mold that had grown from the water that dropped from an exposed pipe. The room held a dark tone of gray from the stone masonry it was crested with the same surroundings that had hardened slaves and criminals a like in the elder ages of Great Britain; the room that had become tombs for some, asylums for others. Yet, here was Penny Carrington, a grandmother. Decaria knew very well from the fight she had put up with the other Death Eaters that the woman was capable and strong for her age, but he also knew, that it was easy for the lungs to succumb to pneumonia. He was prepared to give everything and anything to Keep Aiji and his family alive and well, even if it meant the disgrace of his own.
He was quiet, tired eyes looking down for a moment as he had placed the food on the prison bed, returning the locket around his own neck and hiding the metal heart from view, "Yes," he breathed simply, before his eyes had turned to hers, and he had looked to the food he had brought. "I wish I could do more as of right now. I'm doing everything I can." His voice had grown quieter, before he told her, "I will be down later tonight. I must be quick. The Death Eater's have met with the Kellers, they knew your every step." An apologetic frown had come upon his face, "And now, I know theirs." He did not sit beside her, still wanting to show respect to the woman who was Aiji's grandmother. He looked towards the door once, before keeping his eyes on the ground as he bowed his head and shoulders to her. "I'm sorry. I cannot get you out of here as fast as I wish to. I know what my limits are, and I already have a plan. I promise I will not let them abuse you. Please, forgive me, Mrs. Carrington." When he raised his head, his eyes held strong, though his sincerity shined through, before, he slowly began to turn away, guilt being held high on his shoulders, though he was able to walk pridefully with it.
Hand barely on the prison door, he shut it, and locked it, looking at her once more before he had descended up the stairs. Once he reached the top, his eyes had continued to look cold, as he told them, "I know where the mudblood is heading."
And that was that. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That night, Decaria slept very sweetly, not knowing where he was at first, but realized...there was a sweet scent of flowers all around him. He was laying in a meadow, and his eyes were focused on a bright blue sky, before he had realized, there was a certain blond beside him. He had, with an urgency, taken Aiji into his arms and kissed his face all over, not letting him go for a moment as he embraced him so tenderly...He swore he could feel the soft skin of his cheek, the warmth of his lips...And yet, the moment after, he was forced to awake, realizing, he was gripping onto a pillow with a deadly force, threatening to rip it and send feathers all over the bed...
There was a lingering scent of roses on his night shirt, the scent he had always thought belonged to his beloved.
He was forced to rise, the time coming soon for Aiji and the unknown to arrive at the terminal near the Ferry. There were death Eaters mixed in the heavy amount of muggles that moved through out the port, hidden in with the same mortal clothing. Decaria's presence was unknown to even them. It was going to start again...

The day went by both quickly and with a snail pace as their time of leisure was drawing to a close and the anticipation began to eat at them. Aiji did a lot of useless cleaning to occupy his time and mind whilst Leo simply sat and watched with a risen eyebrow.
When night fell, they were ready to go after having gathered all of their things and restocked on the food provided in the fridge. Aiji took the case Decaria had left him and they stood before the fireplace ready to move on to their next location.
"Wait..." Aiji said to Leo, who made a move for the floo powder. "I have to take the polyjuice potion..."
Leo's eyebrow rose. "Very thorough, this chap of yours."
"He's brilliant," Aiji commented as he pulled out the bottle marked "1" just as Decaria had instructed. Once he drinks this, he will become Amedee Leclair. He would need to remember that unless some called either name.
"Yeah, brilliant," Leo stated under his breath as he watched the little blond consume the foul tasting liquid, chuckling at the face he made. Almost immediately, Aiji's blond hair began to darken at the roots as if his scalp bled black ink into the stands of his hair, its length receding from his shoulders to the very nape of his neck. His stature rose, standing a few more inches taller at a more proper five feet and seven inches. Almond eyes grew, reshaped, irises lightening to a blue-grey hue. A small beauty mark blossomed on his cheek beneath his right eye.
When the metamorphosis was done, he looked over at Leo who's eyebrow never fell.
"Well, look at you. You've grown a few inches!"
Aiji felt a blush begin to color his...er...Amedee's face as he replied, "I suppose I should enjoy it while it lasts, yeah?"
"After you," Leo offered and Aiji nodded, his mind back on the task at hand as he gathered up a fistful of floo powder, stepped into the fireplace, took a deep breath and tossed the green powder down to be consumed in its flames before being ripped through time and space to his predetermined destination.
Once there, he stumbled out of the floo at the ferry terminal, looking around immediately to familiarize himself with everything whilst making sure he didn't see anyone suspicious. So far...everyone looked normal, but looks could be deceiving. Anyone could be a Death Eater in disguise. Even the little girl hanging on her father's arm.
The floo ignited in green flames once again and Leo came stumbling out, just as observant as Aiji was if not more. "Let's hurry and catch this ferry," he said and Aiji nodded.
They hurried through the crowds and pedestrian traffic to buy tickets and board. It was an odd occurrence for the both of them since neither had ever taken a ferry before, the extent of their muggle travel being cars and planes.
They sat next to each other on the densely packed boat, looking out at the black waters. Aiji was then becoming anxious. Soon, he would be able to see Decaria again! And they will go to Romania together!
"Cold?"
The other's concern had snapped Aiji out of his thoughts and he blinked, looking at Leo, ready to say 'no' until he realized he had been shivering.
Leo almost laughed at the boy's lost expression before he took the stilted silence for a 'yes'. "Here, we can share my blanket." He winked, pulling the fleece blanket from out of his bag to wrap around the both of them.
"Thanks," Aiji mumbled in a voice that wasn't his, but Amedee's. He had nearly almost forgotten! He was Amedee for now.
"You can sit on my lap and cuddle with me if you're still cold," Leo offered with a smirk and Aiji looked up at him, the answer clear on his face.
"Hey, I was just offering!" Leo said, hands in the air in surrender. "You know, its weird when you look at me like that with that face. I can't help but take you seriously. Whoever you're impersonating has the intimidation of a model, you know? I miss your cute face." He grinned and pinched Aiji's...er...Amedee's cheeks, and the slighter male whined, batting Leo's hands away.
"If you take me seriously, then stop doing things I'd rather you not do!" He frowned, before adding, "Please." And Leo gave in, seriously not used to conversing with an Aiji personality in a body like that. Truly, he belonged on a runway. If this is what Leclair's cousin looks like, then what does Decaria look like? Would he not only have to compete with blood status and money, but good looks as well? What an unfair distribution by the fates to one person alone! That type of guy always "got the girl" didn't he?
Unless you were the hero, and since Leo felt as if he was doing most of the hero-ing at Aiji's side, then he had a chance to walk out of this ordeal not only alive, but with a souvenir!
--------------------------
"The bloody Kellers," Penny said snidely, lips upturned in disgust. "Don't know how they manage to call themselves a family when they alienate their own family members and make them outcasts! The same could be said about this whole bloody wizarding community; fighting each other over trivial matters when we're all wizards just the same! I'm not surprised in the least that the Kellers are selling out their own!"
Penny wasn't happy in the least to hear the Keller's involvement and she made it clear and known.
When the Death Eater boy went on to give apologies and reasonings, Penny ultimately held up a hand. "There isn't time for any of that, my boy. Every second weighs in the balance in a magical war such as this. Don't worry too much about me. Just keep my Aiji safe and out of harms way. He's far to gentle for such a war. You know just as well as I that he would give his life even for the men who want to murder him. Please, child. Keep him safe."
She nodded to him before he left and the "interrogation" was over.

Decaria had boarded the boat with decrepit movements, his black clothes clinging to him the morning fog as the cold washed off of the sea and rolled over onto the boat. A frown laced itself on his lips as he stared out behind him, near the back as they had finally finished loading the boat. The old London ferry was a very frequent drive, one that, even Decaria took when he was returning from France with his family to their home in England. The paint was chipping off the sides though it was a seemingly sturdy thing. Decaria had always despised riding the fairy among muggles and poor people alike, both things that he decided he disliked the most. He had finally waited enough for it to seem less suspicious to those who could be watching or waiting.
He had began to move down across the ferry, traveling on his own as he had begun to gaze down the isles, Italian leather shoes clicking as his heel brushed the floor, until he finally came up behind the hero's and Aiji's chair. He frowned, remembering Aiji's grandmother's words. Who do you think you are, asking to hold, to be intimate with what's mine. Who are you to try and do this with him, when Aiji is mine? What have you done that I haven't done already?
There was a cruel frown on his face as he suddenly leaned down, grasping Leo by the arms as he smirked at him, leaning forward, "Yes, won't you listen to my beautiful cousin Amedee? If he doesn't want you touching him...That means he doesn't want you to touch him." His voice was dark, and handsome. Over the years he had gained enough maturity of his face for his voice to match it. Decaria' hair was dark like Amedee's. He looked dangerous with his bright hazel eyes, eyes like a snake's who only now just found his prey, and those eyes were on Leo. He patted the boys arm, before standing at his full height and coming around to embrace 'Amedee', who he fulled expected to leap into his chest.
He embraced him, those reptilian eyes softening with absolute love, and squeezed him tight in his arms, pulling away to kiss his 'cousin' on both cheeks in the usual french greeting. His lips lingered there softly, smiling at him as he grasped the shorter male by his shoulders. "How are you doing, Amedee? I know the wedding with Elise is coming up. I'm very happy for you both." He grinned, subtly, at the remembrance of his letter to the other. He wondered if Aiji would get the hint.
Before the other could say anything, he clamped his hand over the other's mouth, before sitting down with the male in his arms as he leaned over him. It was the warmest thing he could think possible, with Aiji now in between the two of them, though Decaria desired to have him all to himself. "So, Amedee, who is your friend?" He removed the hand over his lips slowly.

The Gryffindor male was slightly caught by surprise by the foreign touch of a mysterious stranger. He had turned, his eyes scrutinizing as if the man was out of his mind for having even spoke to him. And then, he mentioned 'a cousin'. His cousin. The one in whom he sat next to this very moment. That's when he had taken another look.
This was him. The man behind all the workings up until now. The one whom Aiji claimed he loved. Leo could smell Death Eater all over him. Ex-Slytherin for sure. Leo could feel himself sneering already.
Aiji himself had been shocked as well, his heart seized within his chest just by hearing that voice. His, er, Amedee's eyes widened as he turned to see Decaria standing there in the flesh. He was really here. This wasn't a dream. This is real.
"Decaria," he breathed, the shock still holding him tight. Shock and complete and total relief. He was still alive! Merlin, he was still alive!! He tossed himself into the man's arms and clung to him tight, tears already welling up in his eyes.
There was an aching lump in his throat when he spoke to answer the male, his heart fluttering as if it had wings. However, before he even got the chance to open his mouth, Decaria clasped a hand over his lips and silenced him. He wanted to tell Decaria how much he wanted the marriage to happen, how happy he was that Decaria even wanted to marry him!
Leo watched them with narrowed eyes, noting how Aiji simply came to tears by the mere sight of the man. Was that even healthy? To cry so easy just because of something like that. And the way this Decaria person stopped him from speaking. He seemed to be the possessive type.
Possessive, ex-Slytherin, and Death Eater. So far, this guy wasn't looking so good. How could he have possibly captured the heart of someone like Aiji? It just didn't make sense.
Aiji took a few shaky breaths when his mouth was uncovered, looking up at Decaria, unable to tear his eyes away. He had been so afraid that he would never see Decaria ever again. It was his biggest fear. To see him now brought so much joy to him that it hurt.
"O-Oh," he looked at Leo who had the oddest expression of skepticism on his face. "This is Leo. He's been a really big help! I broke my ankle and he hauled me the rest of the way and healed me right up!" He smiled. "Leo, this is-"
"The famous Decaria, right?" His brow rose as he eyed the man. "I've got to say, Aiji, your tastes are...interesting..."
Aiji blushed. "W-Well-"
Leo held up a hand. "No need to explain. Just know that I'm not so sure about this." He indicated to the two of them with wave of his hand. "Something doesn't sit right with me..." He looked at Decaria without any kind of apology in his expression as he said, "No offense to you."

All of the stress he had felt for weeks had suddenly began to just...fall away whilst he had Aiji in his arms. It was a very warm, very tender embrace that reminded him of how tired he was. I thought this would be the last year I would have to sleep alone...Now, how long will I have to wait to wake up beside you? It was no secret desire that Decaria had always longed to sleep beside him. Every time he was asked for what he wanted, he would honestly say that. There was something more precious to him than kissing or becoming 'one', and that was embracing the other for as long as he could.
He remembered the long summer nights in Italy, where he would lie beneath the comforter, having snuck inside without Henry's knowledge. He loved when Aiji would use his chest instead of his pillow, how he would always wake up first and be able to comb his fingers through his beloved's blond hair...
Was it so wrong that he wished that could still exist? That instead of staying inside of Britain, he was helping Aiji run away so they could have just that?
He had clamped his hand over Aiji's mouth because he was afraid of just this--exposing him as someone who actually wasn't Amedee. If there were Death Eaters around them...Decaria's eyes softened immediately, and that cold Death Eater shell fell at once. He could not pretend so long around his beloved. Tender fingers reached up to brush against his cheeks softly, gazing at him in a loving fashion, before whispering, "Baby, Baby don't forget where we are. Don't cry, okay? Look, you're safe, I'm safe, your grandma's safe. We're going to make it, okay? Don't be sad, please...." He leaned upwards, softly pressing his lips to 'Amedee's' forehead. holding his face and looking him the eyes. "You're doing so good..."
Eventually, he was forced to tear his eyes away from Aiji, and instead look at the 'hero' who had snatched up his beautiful Aiji earlier in the fight. He frowned, pulling Aiji further into his chest as he gazed downward at his ankle. "I don't like him. He's arrogant, doesn't think things through, and does not listen to you when you tell him you don't want to be touched..." He lolled his head to the side, "Why, that's a criminal act you know...Shame on you. If you know my name from Aiji's lips, surely you know that he's currently and happily being courted for his hand." Dogs like you, Aiji deserves better.
"Isn't that right?" He nuzzled the other's face with his nose.

Aiji sniffled a little, reaching up to wipe his tears away. He didn't mean to cry so easily, but he was so very happy right now. He breathed a sigh of relief and leaned against Decaria as he was pulled closer, just enjoying the simple fact that he was here right now. This warm was from his beloved. He didn't care that he was Amedee right now because for the simple fact that Decaria was with him, he could be anyone in the world.
He looked up at Decaria, however, with a bit of unease when he Leo spoke and when Decaria responded. He suddenly felt nervous by the taste of tension in the air.
"Courting him, are you?" Leo asked, one brow raising. "How noble. As for my having touched him, it was always out of assistance. Even when I held him as we slept..." He smirked. "I was just comforting him in his time of need. Don't get it all twisted in that mind of yours, sir."
Aiji's face turned red. "No! No, that was an accident!" He looked at Decaria desperately. "W-We...he...I..." he suddenly became so very afraid. He was so afraid that Decaria would be displeased with him for it, that he would lose value in the eyes of his beloved. Without restraint, tears poured down his face. "It was an accident! I...I was dreaming..." He shook a little and wished he could shrink so small that he would disappear.
Leo frowned. He didn't mean to make Aiji cry. He had given in then, reaching out to pull the slighter male into a hug to comfort him and apologize, but Aiji shook his head and squirmed away, standing with his back to the both of them. He wanted to just bolt off and hide. He felt...as if he had betrayed Decaria somehow during his time with Leo. How could he do that when Decaria had done so much for him.
He brought his arms around himself as total self-loathing had over come him and his body shook with sobbing. Why couldn't he just disappear now? It would make everything better.

Decaria's anger didn't fully take off until he turned his eyes to glimpse at Aiji, and see his response. Decaria was not the same, bull-headed Slytherin who would make assumptions and not listen to the other side of the story. Tears formerly held back on the other's eyes had fallen now, one after another, until his face was soaked, and true pain seemed to express itself on Aiji's face. It hurt him, when Aiji pulled away to stand with his back to the both of them, with the blue-grey eyes of Amedee reflecting the stormy clouds in the looming sky London harbor. Decaria did not see Amedee, but rather, he saw the blond, chocolate eyed boy, with his thin body and sobs were breaking it.
It was the saddest thing he had ever seen, and he himself was wrought with emotion when he walked up, pulling him off to the side and shoving him against the long row in front of them. He was pressed close to him so that, he could hide the cherry wand that pressed into his gut. Decaria wrapped his fingers around the collar of Leo's shirt, and though some people looked over, they thought it was best to mind their own business.
"How dare you."He hissed, hazel eyes ablaze with a smoldering copper-green fire. "Look at him. Does it satisfy you?" He smirked. "Of course, you didn't think it would do this to him, do you? You just wanted to piss on some trees, mark them, like the dog you are. You see a prize, you want it, and you're going to trample on anyone who stands in your way--even if it hurts your 'prize's' feelings." He pressed the tip of his wand further into his abdomen, before furiously continuing, "I can forgive someone who insults me, especially since, you did Aiji a favor...but remember this. If you ever hurt Aiji again, I will hurt you. I know curses you would never even dream of, and trust me, there is no way to reverse them. Now, I may not kill you, out of Aiji's own wishes, but I am not beyond making you suffer through the most unimaginable pain. I will make you bow to him, and in pain, I will make you cry, and I will make you beg for his forgiveness." With a scowl on his lips, he slowly withdrew his wand, dropping the other man's shirt but still glaring at him.
"Do whatever fancies you. Insult me, curse me with your entire being because you suddenly found the perfect person, and I am the one who has taken him. Get over your little crush fast, because whether you like it or not, I will never let you have him--and wipe any sort of clever plan you ever had in your head. Despite what you have fooled yourself to believe, he will never look at you." Decaria stood up a little straighter, his eyes now turning to look at Aiji's back as he said this in a very soft voice, "...Aiji loves me. I know that. He would never betray someone he loves."
He exhaled relaxingly, before going over to Aiji, and wrapping his arms around him, before whispering. "Come on. It was an accident...I understand that. You grab anyone or anything in your sleep, It's habit."
He looked to Leo, a cold stare on his face as he spoke, "We have a room on the upper level that I reserved. There's new clothes for you both there. We have a couple hours before we get to France."
The room upstairs was a luxurious display of Decaria's wealth without a doubt. There was a sitting room, a book display--antique furniture, and soft carpet, a window to see out onto the bay...

This was the second time that Leo had managed to make Aiji cry, and over the subject of Decaria no less! It was frustrating. Frustrating that he had brought the male to tears and frustrating because he was crying over that...that Slytherin bread Death Eater. Death Eater! Was Aiji mad? You can't trust a Death Eater under no circumstance! They are all snakes! Talk about love making a person blind!
"What in the bloody-" he was half shocked to have been pushed to the side and hassled with the man's wand digging into his abdomen. He flexed those muscles against it in challenge, his eyes hardened and any of the civil attitude he had showed for the man out of respect for Aiji had left him as he glared, hand on his own wand within his pocket.
He didn't like how the man had described his attraction towards Aiji as a crush in which he was pissing on trees. While it was true that (now more than ever) he wanted to take Aiji from this man, he didn't mean to hurt him.
When he was released, he let his hand fall away from his wand, but he wasn't at all pleased with Decaria. It was more that he didn't approve of such a guy, a Death Eater, as someone suitable for someone like Aiji. It was illogical, to say the very least, especially in times like these! It was war and implied genocide! People like Decaria are the enemy! Why didn't Aiji see that?
Because he was blinded by love, that's why.
"I know he won't betray the ones he loves...but you, Decaria, I can never entrust such a thing. You're a snake like the rest of them and my opinion will never change about this...ordeal." He sneered and watched the man go to Aiji to comfort him, something Leo believed he should do himself since he was responsible for those tears.
Aiji had tensed a moment when he felt the strength of arms around him but relaxed when he heard Decaria's voice. Decaria was right, those words of his. Aiji was the type of sleeper who clung to his pillow or his large teddy bear when he slept. Still, because it was another person who had also tried to kiss him, it felt a bit more like betrayal than a simple habit.
After wiping his tears, he looked up at Decaria and didn't notice at the time that he had reduced back to his normal height of 5' 4". It had been a few hours already and the potion was at its limit, the affects were slowly beginning to wear off.
"I'm sorry," his, no, Amedee's voice cracked. He didn't know what he was apologizing for entirely be it for snuggling with another man in his bed or crying like a useless idiot when there were so much more horrible things going on in the world right now during this war.
Leo met Decaria's glare with one of his own and followed them to this reserved room with an unwavering air of resentment and intense dislike. He watched the Death Eater slowly to make sure there was no foul play, for even though the man stated he wouldn't kill him out of respect for the Hufflepuff male, Leo didn't trust him. Not at all.
"Wow..." Aiji breathed softly in his own voice as they stepped into the room. It was very comfortable and beauty little room that Aiji was sure existed only because of Decaria somehow.
He stepped inside with a sigh, feeling very tired now. It was in his eyes, which were now brown once again. He pulled off his shoes and crossed the room towards the window, looking out at the water. Leo also discarded his shoes and went to sit down with a heavy sigh, keeping an eye on the Death Eater.
"I owe you a lot, Decaria," Aiji said as he turned to the man, his hair, still black, now elongated and curled ever slightly a bit down his back.
"The potion is wearing off," Leo stated and Aiji blinked, the beauty mark beneath his eye fading away.
He looked down at himself, fingers in his hair. He wondered if this was okay. Was there anymore of the potion? What if someone saw him? Well, they were in a private room at the moment, so he wouldn't be seen, but he was afraid to undo all of Decaria's hard work.
"I'll go change," Leo stated bluntly as he got up to get these clothes that the 'ever so kind Decaria' had provided for them. Aiji chewed his lip nervously, hoping Leo was alright. He wanted to tell Leo that he wasn't mad at him or anything. He didn't want him to be upset. He would tell him later and clear things up with him.
He, then, turned his warm brown eyes to Decaira and smiled with a relieved sigh. He was still relieved to see him here, safe and in one piece. He knew Decaria would be in a world of trouble for helping him like he was. They were lucky.
